About Us
Operational experience
Qantas is widely regarded as one of the world's leading long distance airlines. Since 1920 Qantas has built a reputation for excellence in safety, operational reliability and customer service, to become one of the strongest brands in Australia.
The expertise of our pilots and flight attendants has contributed greatly to our international reputation for safety. Qantas Flight Training plays a vital part in this outstanding reputation by providing aircrew with skills that go beyond standard aviation requirements. Each year we instruct, develop and examine the proficiency of over 12,000 Qantas and customer aircrew.
Qantas Flight Training offers expertise and facilities for operational training. All courses can be designed to suit customer specific requirements.
We hold regulatory accreditation from a number of regional nations. This accreditation allows airlines and individuals seeking professional airline instruction, to train with regulatory compliance.
In a constantly evolving industry, Qantas Flight Training has an ongoing commitment to training. In many instances our standards go beyond the requirements set by Government Regulators. It is this commitment to safety combined with high engineering standards that gives Qantas one of the finest safety records in the world.
Training bases
Qantas Flight Training operates purpose built facilities where pilots and flight attendants benefit from high level practical and theoretical training. The centres contain flight simulators, aircraft cabin mock-ups, ditching pools and multimedia learning centres. Operationally experienced and highly qualified instructors run each session and are also available as advisers.
The diverse facilities within our centres ensure that an individual’s personal learning style is catered for in an atmosphere that is encouraging and challenging. To support our belief in quality processes and facilities our centres are independently certified according to the International Organisation for Standardisation.
Qantas Flight Training has its main training bases in Sydney and Melbourne. A flexible approach to customer requirements means that we regularly conduct training in other locations around the world.
